SUMMER VOICE CLASS LESSONSFor New Students ages Kindergarten through High SchoolWHEN: Starts June 5 through August 11, 2023.HOW OFTEN: Once a week for one hour’s class lesson. Classes will be limited to 10 students. If additional classes are needed, it will be done to accommodate all students.WHAT DAY AND TIME: Monday (10am - 11am) Kindergarten through 1st Grade Monday (11am - 12 noon) 2nd Grade through 3rd Grade Monday (1pm - 2pm) 4th Grade through 5th Grade Monday (2pm - 3pm) 6th Grade through 7th Grade Thursday (1pm - 2pm) 8th Grade through 9th Grade Thursday (2pm - 3pm) 10th Grade through 12th Grade WHAT WILL BE LEARNED: Everything that has to do with singing correctly will be taught in a fun and interesting way. Songs appropriate for each age level will be emphasized. Upper grade students will be helped with their audition’s song(s) besides the songs of their preference. STUDENTS WILL BE SHOWCASED: On Friday, August 11, 2023, at 7pm, the summer class students will be showcased in a concert. Admission is free.WHAT IS THE COST: The cost is $150.00 per student paid by cash, major credit card, or personal check. Families who wish to enroll more than one child will receive a $50.00 discount per child after the first child’s fee. (If a student is ill or the family goes on vacation during that period of time, the lesson missed will be made up.)WHAT MUST I DO TO ENROLL: Parents must come by the studio between May 29th and June 3rd, or earlier, if so desired, to enroll the student(s) and pay the enrollment fee.For more information, pleased call or text 214.394.8511 or email tenor@sonnyrios.com.
Voice Lessons:
At The Sonny Rios Voice Studio (SRVS) students are well prepared for a college music degree, a musical career, or to be eloquent speakers. Piano lessons are also offered.
Voice Lessons
All voice lessons are privately taught, one on one. Lessons are composed of vocalization (vocal exercises), learning about proper breath control, vowel modification, projection, etc. The lessons are educational, informative and fun. These are held weekly as per teacher and student's schedules. There are two types of lessons: contract and non-contract. To learn more about contracts, click here.
Elocution Lessons
All elocution lessons are privately taught, one on one. In the lessons the student learns to enunciate properly and clearly, learns the proper use of English contractions, learns to project the voice, and etc. The lessons are held weekly as per teacher and student's schedules. Piano Lessons
Piano lessons are privately taught, one on one. The lessons are always fun, without undue pressure on the student. These are held weekly as per teacher and student's schedules. There are two types of of lessons: contract and non-contract. To learn more about contracts, click here.
Concerts
The SRVS has three concerts per year: Winter or Spring Concert, Fall Concert and a Christmas Show. In this way the SRVS students are showcased three times a year. Click here to view.

Genna Ingram
Above you see Genna Ingram as Wednesday in Village Tech's production of The Addams Family. Genna will star this year as Ariel in Village Tech's filmed production of The Little Mermaid the Musical.
Byron Miño
Byron Miño, superb Ecuadorian tenor, has studied with Sonny Rios since 1998. Byron recently sang a recital composed of operatic arias and Latin love songs at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. To hear Byron sing one of Sonny Rios's own compositions ("Venisti a me") Click here.
Lain Crew
Lain Crew is a young man who has been an Elvis impersonator since a young lad. Recently he won third place in an Elvis competition held in New Orleans, La, where hundreds of impersonators competed.
TRACY JORDAN
Tracy Jordan studied with me for years until he embarked on a singing career. He has sung for the Fort Worth Opera, the Houston Opera, on cruise ships, and in Las Vegas, where he performed with many of the big name stars. Mary Ridenour
In the photo above, you see Mary Ridenour as Grizabella in The Artisan's Theater mounting of Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS, for which Mary was awarded The Column Award for best leading actress in a musical. To hear Mary sing "Memory" during the Column Awards ceremony click here.
Henry Thomas
Henry Thomas is the consummate blues and jazz singer. He is always one of the favorites when singing during our concerts and shows.
Ali Sorensen
Ali Sorensen, student of Sonny Rios, is now singing in New York. She recorded one of Sonny Rios's compositions, "You've come into My World." To hear Ali sing the song, click here.
PAULYAE DAWKINS
Paulyae Dawkins started studying with me when she was a young girl. Now, as a young lady, she has embarked in a singing career that has and will take her many places worldwide. At the moment her cuts are popular in Europe. To hear her sing, please click on the links below.
