First, I want to thank you for allowing me to help you or your family member
in voice training. I am sure that by now you know that I am totally committed to helping you realize your or your child's
dream of becoming a performer. My promise to you was and continues to be that I will do everything within my power to see
that that dream may be achieved. But as with all businesses, one must have guidelines to help things flow more efficiently
and, thus, become successful. (And please understand that this IS a business, not a pastime.)
the popularity of the studio continues to grow at a fast pace, available times-slots are now almost non-existent. Thus, it
has become necessary to put the following guidelines as a means of providing stability at the studio. The following guidelines
are intended to avoid unnecessary embarrassment on both your and my part and to make one's teaching and learning more enjoyable.
Thus, I beg you to please adhere to these guidelines. Should you have any questions, please feel free to discuss these with
1. Each student is expected to be at his/her lesson each week.
Once a student is booked for a particular time-slot, it remains that student's time-slot until it is changed by mutual consent
of both student and teacher.
2. Should a student have a need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, the call must be made
to our telephone number (214.394.8511) at least twenty-four hours in advance, otherwise that lesson will
not be rescheduled. (Do not send an email or text message. Emails are not read on a daily basis and I do NOT
text while teaching!)
3. Please be aware that I have to pay studio rent whether a student shows up for his/her
lesson or not. (Now you know the reason why I must be notified 24 hours in advance if a lesson is to be canceled. This way
I can use that time-slot for a make-up lesson with someone else needing to have one.)
4. When a lesson is to be made-up
that lesson must be made-up within the month that it was originally scheduled, unless, that lesson is on the last week of
the month (then it will be made up the following month), but the next month's lessons fee is still expected in full.
No make-up lesson fee is to be deducted from the next month's fee.
6. Any make-up lesson that I am
unable to work into the schedule during normal hours and that meets the criterion (see guideline #2) will be made-up
on the 3rd Sunday afternoon of the month, unless otherwise notified.
7. And, finally, because the monthly studio rental
fee that I must pay is due on the first day of every month, it is still necessary for all students
to pay their monthly lessons fee on the first lesson of the month.
Thank you for your cooperation,
